About Screen-Free Week bingo
Screen-Free Week Bingo gives families a card full of things to do when the tablets and TVs are switched off: “Build a fort”, “Make a bird feeder”, “Cardboard rocket”, “Act out a play” and “Look at the stars”. Most squares need only household supplies, and the mix of indoor and outdoor ideas keeps the week going whatever the weather.
On a 5x5 card with a free center, Screen-Free Week bingo shows 24 of the 40 tasks, so each one lands on about 60% of the cards: in a set of 30, “Build a fort” or “Play a board game” appears on roughly 18 cards. Card 1 leaves out 16 of them, including “Build a fort”, “Read a chapter” and “Write a letter”, so no single card can mark everything.
There is no caller: each player marks a square once they have done it, such as “Dance party” or “Family walk”, over an agreed week or month. A line takes 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center); a full card takes all 24.

How to play Screen-Free Week bingo
-
Print the Screen-Free Week cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with “Do a jigsaw puzzle”, “Cook dinner together”, “Learn a magic trick”, “Blow bubbles” and “Water balloons”.
-
Agree on the time frame
Each player marks a square once it is done, such as “Dance party” or “Family walk”. Set the period first (a week, a month, a season); a line needs 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center) and a full card all 24.
-
Hang the card on the fridge and let children choose the next activity from it whenever they say they are bored.
-
Group the squares by weather before the week starts: “Fly a kite” and “Bug hunt” for sunny days, “Puppet show” and “Write a story” for rainy ones.
-
Adults play too: a parent who reaches for a phone must complete one square, such as “Tell jokes”, with the kids.
-
Check the card
Ask the winner what they did for each square on the line. A full card is 24 of the 40 tasks; card 1 of this set, for example, includes “Do a jigsaw puzzle” and “Cook dinner together”.

Frequently asked questions
How many tasks are on the Screen-Free Week bingo list?
40, from Act out a play to Write a story. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 16. The shortest entry is Bug hunt (8 characters) and the longest is Play with play dough (20).
Are all Screen-Free Week bingo cards the same?
No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 13 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 3.90 × 10³⁴ different arrangements are possible from the 40 tasks (62,852,101,650 different selections of 24).
How many Screen-Free Week bingo cards per person?
One card per player: each card is a personal checklist of 24 tasks. A free set of 30 cards covers 30 players, and New shuffle makes another set for a bigger group.
How do you play Screen-Free Week bingo?

Can I print Screen-Free Week bingo cards for free?
Yes. All 40 tasks are loaded above, so choose a card count up to 30 and press Print cards, or Download PDF to print later at one card per sheet (30 sheets for a full set). The shuffled caller sheet prints separately; nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
How do I make my own Screen-Free Week bingo cards?
Start from this list: the 40 tasks are already in the generator, so delete “Cook dinner together” or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.

14 of the 40 entries have a picture symbol (🚲 Go on a bike ride, 🍪 Bake cookies, ✉️ Write a letter, 🧩 Do a jigsaw puzzle). Print 3x3 cards with symbol entries such as Have a picnic and Plant seeds for children who cannot read yet; symbols show on screen and in browser printing.
