About Bingo Card Lab
Free bingo card generator: pick a theme or paste your own words, then print unique cards and a shuffled caller sheet in seconds. No signup needed.
Why Bingo Card Lab exists
Bingo is one of the easiest games to run for a class, a party or a family table, but making the cards is tedious: every card has to be different, the words have to fit their squares, and the host still needs a list to call from. Many online generators put printing behind an account or a subscription.
We built the opposite: open the page, pick a theme or paste your words, and print. The cards are shuffled in your browser from a seed, so a share link rebuilds exactly the same set, and no two cards in a set are alike.
Theme lists are written for this site and leave out brand and character names, so they work in classrooms, care homes and offices alike. The site is static, which keeps hosting cheap and the core generator free.
How the site is run
Bingo Card Lab is a small, independent tool site, and it does not publish the names of the people who run it. It is not part of a publisher, a school supplier or a game company, and it has no investors or advertisers to answer to. There are no user accounts, no comments and no community features: it is a single tool for one person getting a game ready, plus reference pages that explain the lists, numbers and patterns behind it. The contact page explains how to send questions and corrections.
How the cards are generated
Every set starts from a short text seed. The seed is turned into a 32-bit number, which drives a small pseudo-random number generator (mulberry32), and the items are shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle, the standard way to put a list in a random order where every order is equally likely. Because the generator is seeded, the same word list, grid, card count and seed always produce the very same cards, which is how a share link can rebuild a set on another computer.
Each new card is compared with every card already in the set, square by square. If it matches one exactly, it is thrown away and another is drawn, so no two cards in a set are alike. When a list is too short to make as many different cards as you asked for, the generator makes fewer cards rather than repeating one. The caller sheet is a separate shuffle of every call, made from the same seed.
All of this runs in your browser. The generator never uploads the words you paste (a share link carries them in its web address, as the privacy policy explains), and the free plan makes up to 30 unique cards per set.
Where the data comes from
- Themed word lists are written for this site: holiday, party, classroom, office and hobby lists, each kept free of brand, film, television and character names so the cards can be used anywhere. Every list is shown in full on its theme page.
- Sight words come from the Dolch lists by Edward W. Dolch: the 220 service words first published in 1936 and the 95 nouns from his 1948 book Problems in Reading. They are plain word lists, facts rather than creative text, and are widely treated as public domain. See the sight word bingo lists.
- Math facts, number ranges and winning-pattern chances are computed in code from the rules of the game: the problems, their answers, how many different cards a range allows and how many calls a pattern usually takes.
Theme pages are built from curated word lists written for this site, sight-word pages from public-domain sight-word lists, and the math, number and winning-pattern pages are computed in code. Every number on them, from how many different cards a list allows to how many calls a game usually takes, is calculated when the site is built with the same generator code that runs in your browser, so the pages and the tool always agree.
What is on the site
- The bingo card generator, which runs in your browser: once its page has loaded, cards keep generating and printing without a connection. The theme list and the PDF writer are fetched the first time you use them, so they need a connection then.
- Bingo Themes: Free Printable Word Lists: 237 pages.
- Bingo Ideas: Themes by Occasion, Group and Topic: 12 pages.
- Sight Word Bingo: Dolch Lists by Grade: 11 pages.
- Math Bingo: Printable Fact-Practice Cards: 8 pages.
- Number Bingo Cards: 75-Ball, 90-Ball and Every Range: 29 pages.

That is 300 reference pages in all, each with the generator loaded for its own list.
How the site is funded
The free generator will be paid for by an optional one-time Pro upgrade for hosts who print for large groups: bigger sets, compact print layouts and your own image in the free space. Pro is not on sale yet, so for now the site earns nothing; it is a static site, which keeps its running costs low. The pricing page lists exactly what is free and what Pro will add. There are no display ads and no sponsored placements, and nothing you type into the generator is collected. The privacy policy has the details, and the terms of use explain how the cards may be used.
