Every call in a shuffled order. Tick each one as you read it out; the same share link always gives the same order.

About World Capitals bingo
World Capitals Bingo covers 47 national capitals spread across six continents, from “Ottawa” and “Quito” to “Abuja”, “Ulaanbaatar” and “Canberra”. Several are capitals that are not their country's biggest city, which makes the game a fair test for teens and adults who already know Paris and Tokyo. It works well for geography clubs, quiz nights and long family dinners.
This World Capitals list is 47 answers long and a 5x5 card with a free center takes 24, which leaves 23 off each card. That is why one entry (Mexico City, say) appears on about 15 of 30 cards: card 1, for instance, has no Ottawa or Kingston.
The caller sheet lists the 47 answers in shuffled order, but they are not read out as written: the caller reads out the country (say “Canada” and players look for Ottawa). The first complete line wins.

How to host World Capitals bingo
-
Print the World Capitals cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Canberra, Washington D.C., London, Ulaanbaatar and Lima.
-
Call the clue, not the square
The caller sheet lists all 47 answers in shuffled order, opening with Caracas, Ottawa, Cairo, Bogotá and Madrid. For each one, read out the country (say “Canada” and players look for Ottawa), then tick it.
-
Call the country instead of the city for a harder round: players hear Australia and must find “Canberra”, or hear Nigeria and look for “Abuja”.
-
Read accented names slowly and show the spelling on a board, because “Bogotá” and “Brasília” look different on the card from how many players expect.
-
Mix in a quick fact round after each line: the winner names the country for three capitals on their row, such as “Rabat”, “Hanoi” and “Wellington”.
-
Check the answers on the winning line
With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 14 (Wellington in this set's order). Ask the winner to say the clue for each square, which doubles as a quick review.
World Capitals bingo variations
-
World Capitals variation
Play Hemisphere Bingo: the caller reads a capital and players may only mark it if it is in the same hemisphere as the previous call, so “Santiago” after “Oslo” stays unmarked until it comes round again.
-
Blackout round
Card 1 needs all 24 answers, Canberra to Havana; on average one card fills after 46.1 of the 47 calls (98% of the deck).
-
Quick 4x4 round
A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 47 answers and no free space; one card is full after about 45.2 calls instead of 46.1.
First 15 calls of this World Capitals set
Seed "world-capitals" gives this order, the same one the caller sheet prints. With these calls, card 28 of the first 30 completes the diagonal from the top left (Ottawa, Quito, Moscow and Berlin) on call 12, and card 3 is the first full card on call 43.

Frequently asked questions
How many answers are on the World Capitals bingo list?
47, from Abuja to Wellington. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 23. The shortest entry is Doha (4 characters) and the longest is Washington D.C. (15).
Are all World Capitals bingo cards the same?
No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 11 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 1.00 × 10³⁷ different arrangements are possible from the 47 answers (16,123,801,841,550 different selections of 24).
How many World Capitals bingo cards per person?
One card each is standard. In 150 simulated games of this list, 30 players on one card each got a first line after a median 14 calls; with two cards each (60 in play) it came after 12, and 10 single cards took 16. Two cards suit adults who want a faster game; young children do best with one. A free set of 30 covers 15 players on two cards each.
How do you play World Capitals bingo?
The caller sheet lists the 47 answers in shuffled order, but they are not read out as written: the caller reads out the country (say “Canada” and players look for Ottawa). The first complete line wins.
How long does World Capitals bingo take?
A World Capitals game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 14 calls (9-17 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 42; with 10 players the first line needs about 16.
Can I print World Capitals bingo cards for free?
Yes. The generator above makes up to 30 cards (5x5 cards with a free center) from the 47 answers; Print cards sends them to your printer and Download PDF saves one card per page, so 30 cards take 30 pages plus the caller sheet. It all runs in your browser with no sign-up.
How do I make my own World Capitals bingo cards?
Open Edit words in the generator above: it already holds the 47 answers, one per line. Replace Addis Ababa with something from your own group, add inside jokes or names, and the sample card redraws at once. 5x5 cards need 24 entries or more.
