About Easter bingo for kids

An Easter card for young children that turns the egg hunt into a reading and color game: gold, silver, pink, blue, purple, yellow, green and orange eggs share the card with egg patterns (polka dots, stripes, zigzag), hunting words like hiding spot, bush and paw prints, and treats such as a lollipop, a pretzel and jelly beans.

On a 5x5 card with a free center, Easter bingo for kids shows 24 of the 40 entries, so each one lands on about 60% of the cards: in a set of 30, Bunny or Basket appears on roughly 18 cards. Card 1 leaves out 16 of them, including Cookie, Zigzag and Hiding spot, so no single card can mark everything.

The caller reads the 40 entries from a shuffled caller sheet and players mark them; the first complete line (row, column or diagonal) wins.

When to play Easter bingo for kids

Easter 2027 falls on Sunday, March 28. The last Friday before it is March 26, a natural slot for a round at work or school.

In 2028 it falls on Sunday, April 16. Printing 30 cards at one card per page takes 30 sheets plus the caller sheet, so print a few days ahead and keep the share link (seed "easter-kids") to reprint the same set.

How to host Easter bingo for kids

  1. Print the Easter cards

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Green egg, Candy, Polka dots, Bunny and Pink egg.

  2. Print the caller sheet

All 40 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Polka dots, Lamb, Chocolate, Cookie and Wagon; tick each one as you read it out.

  3. Use real plastic eggs as calls: pull an egg from a basket, and children mark the matching color square, such as 'Blue egg' or 'Gold egg'.

  4. Teach the pattern words with dyed eggs or paper eggs: show 'Polka dots', 'Stripes' and 'Zigzag' before the game and let children decorate a paper egg afterward.

  5. Make 'Hop' and 'Hunt' action calls: everyone hops twice, or quickly finds an egg hidden in the room before marking the square.

  6. Call until someone shouts bingo

With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (Orange egg in this set's order) and a blackout near call 37; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.

Easter bingo for kids variations

  • Easter variation

Egg-color blackout: hide paper eggs in the eight egg colors; children find them, then mark every square of that color, and the first child to cover all eight egg squares calls the next game.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Green egg to Lollipop; on average one card fills after 39.4 of the 40 calls (98% of the deck).

  • Picture bingo for pre-readers

Use 3x3 cards with the 19 entries that have a symbol, such as Bunny, Basket and Carrot.

Frequently asked questions

How many words are on the Easter bingo list for kids?

40, from Basket to Zigzag. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 16. The shortest entry is Bow (3 characters) and the longest is Rabbit hole (11).

Are all Easter bingo cards for kids the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 15 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 3.90 Γ— 10³⁴ different arrangements are possible from the 40 entries (62,852,101,650 different selections of 24).

How many Easter bingo cards per person for kids?

Usually one. Extra cards speed the game up only a little: on this list a first line took a median 12 calls with 30 cards in play, 11 with 60 (30 players on two cards each) and 15 with just 10. Two cards suit adults who want a faster game; young children do best with one. A free set of 30 covers 15 players on two cards each.

How long does Easter bingo for kids take?

An Easter game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 12 calls (8-15 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 37; with 10 players the first line needs about 15.

Can I print Easter bingo cards for kids for free?

Yes. All 40 entries are loaded above, so choose a card count up to 30 and press Print cards, or Download PDF to print later at one card per sheet (30 sheets for a full set). The shuffled caller sheet prints separately; nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

How do I make my own Easter bingo cards for kids?

Start from this list: the 40 entries are already in the generator, so delete Duckling or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.

Is there a picture version of Easter bingo for kids?

19 of the 40 entries have a picture symbol (🐰 Bunny, 🧺 Basket, πŸ₯• Carrot, πŸ‘ Lamb). Print 3x3 cards with symbol entries such as Bow and Lollipop for children who cannot read yet; symbols show on screen and in browser printing.
