About Find Someone Who bingo

Find Someone Who Bingo, also called human bingo, fills each square with a short prompt such as “Has lived on a farm”, “Knows sign language”, “Can juggle” or “Was born abroad”. Players walk the room, find a person who matches, and collect their signature in that square. It suits first meetings, classrooms, workshops and mixed-age family gatherings.

This Find Someone Who list is 41 prompts long and a 5x5 card with a free center takes 24, which leaves 17 off each card. That is why one entry (“Plays an instrument”, say) appears on about 18 of 30 cards: card 1, for instance, has no “Has a pet dog” or “Was born abroad”.

There is no caller: players walk around, find a person who fits a square (“Can do a cartwheel”, say) and write that person's name in it, one square per person. The first player with a complete line of 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center) wins.

How to play Find Someone Who bingo

  1. Hand out cards and pens

Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with “Visited 3 continents”, “Is an only child”, “Has run a race”, “Has acted in a play” and “Plays an instrument”.

  2. Walk the room and collect names

Players find a person who fits a square, such as “Can do a cartwheel” or “Has acted in a play”, and write that name in it. Allow one square per person, so a line means talking to 4 or 5 different people.

  3. Allow each person to sign a card only once, so players must meet several people instead of collecting every square from one friend who “Plays an instrument”.

  4. Ask winners to introduce the people on their row, for example the colleague who “Has climbed a mountain”, so the whole room learns something new.

  5. For virtual groups, read each prompt aloud and let people unmute or raise a hand when “Has a pet dog” or “Bakes bread” fits them.

  6. Check the names

The first player with a complete line reads out the names in it; check that no name appears twice. A full card means meeting 24 different people, “Visited 3 continents” to “Has slept in a tent” on card 1.

Find Someone Who bingo variations

  • Find Someone Who variation

Story bonus: after a full row, the winner picks one signer, such as the person who “Has acted in a play”, and asks a follow-up question that everyone gets to hear.

  • Blackout round

Card 1 needs all 24 squares, “Visited 3 continents” to “Has slept in a tent”, which means finding 24 different people; it suits a large group with time to mingle.

  • Quick 4x4 round

A 4x4 card has 16 squares and no free space, so a full card needs 16 prompts instead of 24; lines take 4.

First 15 entries on the Find Someone Who caller sheet

Frequently asked questions

How many prompts are on the Find Someone Who bingo list?

41, from Bakes bread to Was born abroad. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 17. The shortest entry is Can juggle (10 characters) and the longest is Has moved over 5 times (22).

Are all Find Someone Who bingo cards the same?

No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 14 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 9.41 × 10³⁴ different arrangements are possible from the 41 prompts (151,584,480,450 different selections of 24).

How many Find Someone Who bingo cards per person?

One card per player: each square needs a different person's name, so a second card only splits the attention. A free set of 30 cards covers 30 players, and New shuffle makes another set for a bigger group.

How do you play Find Someone Who bingo?

There is no caller: players walk around, find a person who fits a square (“Can do a cartwheel”, say) and write that person's name in it, one square per person. The first player with a complete line of 5 squares (4 on a line through the free center) wins.

Can I print Find Someone Who bingo cards for free?

Yes, up to 30 unique cards per set at no cost and without an account. Pick how many you need, then use Print cards or Download PDF: each card gets its own page with the title “Find Someone Who Bingo” on top, and the caller sheet lists all 41 prompts in this set's shuffled order.

How do I make my own Find Someone Who bingo cards?

Start from this list: the 41 prompts are already in the generator, so delete “Grows vegetables” or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
