About Harvest Festival bingo
Harvest festival bingo that draws on several traditions: the country fair (Pumpkin weigh-off, Livestock show, Blue ribbon), the church or school harvest (Harvest loaf, Food bank donations, Harvest songs) and celebrations from other cultures, including Mooncakes and Paper lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Sukkah of Sukkot. Good for community events, classes and senior groups.
On a 5x5 card with a free center, Harvest Festival bingo shows 24 of the 42 entries, so each one lands on about 57% of the cards: in a set of 30, Harvest moon or Cornucopia appears on roughly 17 cards. Card 1 leaves out 18 of them, including Wheat sheaf, Corn husk doll and Pie contest, so no single card can mark everything.
A host reads out one entry at a time from the printed caller sheet (all 42 of them, shuffled); players daub the square if their card has it and call bingo on a full line.

Harvest Festival bingo cards for 50, 100 or 200 players
A free set prints 30 unique cards, so a bigger room needs several sets (New shuffle makes the next one) or one Pro set of up to 1,000. The last two columns come from 150 shuffled games on cards 1-200 of this Harvest Festival set, at 10 seconds a call.
| Players | Free sets of 30 | One Pro set | First line | Shared first line |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 players | 2 sets (60 cards, 10 spare) | 50 cards, 13 pages at 4 per page | call 11 (8-14), about 2 minutes | 21% of games |
| 100 players | 4 sets (120 cards, 20 spare) | 100 cards, 25 pages at 4 per page | call 10 (7-12), about 2 minutes | 19% of games |
| 200 players | 7 sets (210 cards, 10 spare) | 200 cards, 50 pages at 4 per page | call 9 (6-11), about 2 minutes | 23% of games |
Running Harvest Festival bingo in a big room
- Number the sets: print set 1, press New shuffle for set 2 and so on. 4 free sets cover 100 players and 7 cover 200; each set's share link reprints exactly the same cards.
- Plan for shared wins: with 200 cards in play, 23% of simulated games had two or more cards complete a line on the same call (21% with 50). Keep spare prizes or a quick tie-break ready.
- Expect short rounds: the first line comes around call 9 of 42 with 200 players, against call 12 with 30, so follow it with a blackout or a picture pattern.
- Count the paper: at one card per page, 200 players need 200 sheets plus a caller sheet; Pro's 2-up and 4-up layouts cut that to 100 or 50.
How to host Harvest Festival bingo
-
Print the Harvest Festival cards
Give each player one card; a free set prints up to 30, no two alike. Card 1 above starts with Tug of war, Fresh bread, Local honey, Food bank donations and Mooncakes.
-
Print the caller sheet
All 42 entries appear on it in shuffled order, opening with Grain silo, Fresh bread, Prize onions, Apple butter and Corn on the cob; tick each one as you read it out.
-
Use the multicultural squares as teaching moments: when you call Sukkah or Mooncakes, explain in one sentence which festival they belong to before players mark.
-
At a fair, give families the card at the gate and let them mark Square dance, Tug of war or Quilt show as they walk the grounds.
-
At a school harvest assembly, have children mark Harvest loaf, Food bank donations and Harvest songs as each part of the program happens.
-
Call until someone shouts bingo
With 30 cards, expect the first line near call 12 (Cornucopia in this set's order) and a blackout near call 38; check the winner's squares against your ticked list.
Harvest Festival bingo variations
-
Harvest Festival variation
Market-stall bingo: set up tables for Jam jars, Local honey, Pickles and Fresh bread; players visit each stall to mark its square, and a full row earns a small taste from the stall of their choice.
-
Blackout round
Card 1 needs all 24 squares, Tug of war to Harvest supper; on average one card fills after 41.3 of the 42 calls (98% of the deck).
-
Quick 4x4 round
A 4x4 card needs 16 of the 42 entries and no free space; one card is full after about 40.5 calls instead of 41.3.

Frequently asked questions
How many words are on the Harvest Festival bingo list?
42, from Apple butter to Wheat sheaf. A 5x5 card with a free center uses 24 of them, so each card leaves out 18. The shortest entry is Sukkah (6 characters) and the longest is Food bank donations (19).
Are all Harvest Festival bingo cards the same?
No. Card 1 and card 2 of this set share 13 of their 24 squares, and every card is checked so none of the 30 in a free set repeats. About 2.19 × 10³⁵ different arrangements are possible from the 42 entries (353,697,121,050 different selections of 24).
How many Harvest Festival bingo cards per person?
One card each is standard. In 150 simulated games of this list, 30 players on one card each got a first line after a median 12 calls; with two cards each (60 in play) it came after 11, and 10 single cards took 14. In a hall, extra cards per player only add checking: 200 cards in play already bring the first line to about call 9. For a bigger room, make a second set with New shuffle: two sets are not checked against each other, but with about 2.19 × 10³⁵ possible cards a repeat is vanishingly unlikely, and one caller sheet serves both because every set uses the same 42 entries.
How long does Harvest Festival bingo take?
A Harvest Festival game with 30 players usually reaches its first line after 12 calls (9-15 in 80% of simulated games), about 2 minutes at one call every 10 seconds. A blackout takes about 38; with 10 players the first line needs about 14.
Can I print Harvest Festival bingo cards for free?
Yes, up to 30 unique cards per set at no cost and without an account. Pick how many you need, then use Print cards or Download PDF: each card gets its own page with the title “Harvest Festival Bingo” on top, and the caller sheet lists all 42 entries in this set's shuffled order.
How do I make my own Harvest Festival bingo cards?
Start from this list: the 42 entries are already in the generator, so delete Harvest songs or any other entry, type your own one per line and the cards update as you type. Keep at least 24 entries for 5x5 cards (16 for 4x4); the share link reprints exactly the same set.
